ACCOUNTING STAFF/ASSISTANT - Seaoil Philippines Inc

SEAOIL Philippines, Incorporated is the brainchild of a hardworking middle-class couple who began their careers in the petroleum industry as gasoline station operators. The company was into wholesale dealership of petroleum products when it began its operations in the early 70’s.

SEAOIL opened its own bulk distribution depot and processing facility in Mandaluyong, right beside the Pasig River in 1980. This served as a storage facility of bunker fuel oil for a host of industrial customers. The depot has a storage capacity of 20,000,000 liters distributed over a number of vertical tanks. Additional tanks were also constructed and leased out to local and other multinational companies for their various storage requirements. This depot facility is reputed to be the largest storage facility in Metro Manila, among independent players.

In 1988, SEAOIL partnered with Paramins, one of the world’s leading lubricant additive suppliers at that time, endowing its research and development team the ability to develop the most advanced lubricants in the market. To date, SEAOIL’s products include blended fuels, gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel, diesel fuel and biofuels. The company also continues to be the leading provider of a complete line of world-class lubrication systems that are custom engineered to fit the exact requirements of its customers in the automotive, construction, marine, transportation, power and manufacturing industries.

SEAOIL is able to source its supply from other countries such as Singapore, China, and Korea, and locally from Bataan and Olongapo depending on the prevailing market forces in the industry. This kind of flexibility is possible because SEAOIL has a domestic shipping arm which owns and operates dumb barges, tugboats and self-propelled vessels. This facilitates delivery of products not only to customers in Metro Manila but also to customers at any port in the Philippines.

With the onset of oil deregulation during the first quarter of 1997, SEAOIL gained more popularity when it was the first independent petroleum player to open a gasoline retail station. This is in pursuit of our desire to better service the Filipino nation.

During the early part of 2002, SEAOIL’s first outlet in Mindanao region was erected in Galas, Dipolog City. It thus signaled the beginning of a new expansion phase that brought the number of SEAOIL stations to more that 100 by the end of 2004, most of which are in Luzon.

In 2004, SEAOIL achieved the distinction of being the most outstanding gasoline station awarded by the Consumers Union of the Philippines (CUP). Other consumer group such as the National Consumers Affairs Foundation (NCAF) also gave it the top gasoline station plum during the same year.

Early in 2007, SEAOIL was awarded Outstanding Filipino Franchise of the Year by the Philippine Franchise Associations together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and the Philippines Retailers Association (PRA). Such an award is the only seal of recognition given out in the franchising sector and the barometer of excellence in terms of business growth and ethical practices.

And in 2008, SEAOIL was awarded as the “Outstanding Gasoline Station” by the Consumer Union of the Philippines for the third straight year, thereby being elevated to the “Hall of Fame.”

SEAOIL is the first oil firm in the country to sell gasoline pre-blended with ethanol directly from its pumps. Even before the law on biofuels was in place, it has already been producing and selling E-10, gasoline with 10% ethanol.

Because it had no local ethanol facility in place, SEAOIL sourced its requirements from Brazil, the world’s most cost-efficient ethanol producer. Now, SEAOIL already has a solid plan of putting up its own ethanol plant.

The Company prides itself with its unparalleled dedication for the development and modernization of the Philippines. In the company’s continued pursuit for excellence, it asks for the highest standards of efficiency, ethics and morality from its work force. Aside from this, the company also places employee safety and community well-being paramount.

Today, with its highly trained and professional personnel, SEAOIL is already a major force in the country’s oil industry.
