We partner with our top tier investment bank client searching for an experienced compliance professional to join their tax compliance team in Beijing.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Tax Department undertakes a variety of activities including tax compliance work, managing tax audits, reviewing products and trades, establishing and monitoring transfer pricing policies, managing tax risk and assisting in the establishment of new business lines/ventures. The Tax Dept also assists in the structuring of proprietary investments by the firm as well as providing advice across the firm on tax related matters.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dealing with tax compliance work for various entities doing business in AEJ in light of tax laws / regulations with particular focus on the PRC
- Dealing with tax audits and enquiries.
- Dealing with day-to-day tax related questions from internal clients across different divisions.
- Being involved with tax advisory work for financial products / cross border transfer pricing issues / other firmwide projects.
Basic Qualifications
- 7-10 years of corporate tax compliance / advisory experience in major accounting or law firm; exposure to Chinese tax law mandatory
- Qualified CPA or solicitor
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
